The entertainment industry has undergone a revolution over the last decade, and we’ve seen media consumption trends shift in ways we never imagined. With the rapid emergence of streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, the number of shows available to watch has gone through the roof. Unfortunately, while many of us can enjoy these new and exciting stories whenever we want, countless beloved shows have been left in the dust. We’ve compiled a list of the top shows you can no longer watch anywhere.

The Bewitched Series

The Bewitched Series remains an iconic show in the world of pop culture. Airing from 1964 to 1972, this show culminated during the heyday of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Following the lives of the all-American suburban family, the Stephens, this classic TV show has left us with many fond memories. Unfortunately, Bewitched is not available on any streaming platform.

The Maryland Public TV Network

The Maryland Public Television Network was a much-several public television station serving the Washington, D.C. area. This network featured classic TV shows such as Sesame Street, Bob the Builder, The Electric Company, and Barney & Friends. Despite providing educational content for almost three decades, the network shut down due to economic hardships. As a result, these shows are no longer available for consumption.

The Twilight Zone

If you’re a fan of classic television, you’ve likely watched an episode or two of The Twilight Zone. Debuting in 1959, this show set out to explore the strange and bizarre science-fiction concepts. Airings of this show ended in 1963, but the series is still remembered fondly. Unfortunately, it is not available on any streaming services.

The Muppet Show

The Muppet Show was a classic variety sketch show aimed at both children and adults. It ran continuously from 1976 to 1981, introducing us to the Muppets we know and love today. Unfortunately, not all streaming services contain the unique show that charmed us as youngsters.

The Smurfs Series

Who could forget the classic show The Smurfs? Debuting in 1981, this show focused on the adventures of the Smurf Village, singing, dancing and helping each other in a joyful manner. Although still enjoyed by many, the show is not available on any streaming platforms or apps.

Seinfeld

Seinfeld is considered to be one of the best sitcoms to ever air on television. Launching in 1989, the show followed the mundane lives of Jerry Seinfeld and his misfit group of friends. Despite being an important part of the nineties, it is nowhere to be seen on any streaming services.

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood

Children and adults alike have loved this show since its original debut in 1968. Early on, the show revolved around puppets at a store, but it eventually shifted its focus to Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood, which featured an assortment of characters as well as a speaking tile garden. Unfortunately, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood is not available on any streaming platform.

I Love Lucy

I Love Lucy was a foundational show in television history. Airing from 1951 to 1957, this classic sitcom starred Lucille Ball, her real-life husband Desi Arnaz, and their zany misadventures. The show has been referenced in numerous pop culture moments and is considered a timeless classic. Unfortunately, it’s not available on any streaming services.

It seems streaming services are taking over our TV as they acquire even more shows every day. Although this is great news for fans of new and exciting content, older shows are getting lost in the shuffle. Sadly, many of the shows we’ve grown to love over the years, from The Bewitched Series to I Love Lucy, are no longer available to watch. Hopefully, these classic shows will resurface someday so we can all relive our fond memories.
